SE Director - Internal

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGIONAL DIRECTOR / SOCIAL SERVICES

As a SE Director, you oversee the operations of our Supported Employment Program serving all of Salt Lake & Tooele Counties including staff, and participants. Working out of our South Salt Lake office, you manage around 10 staff and 40 clients.

You provide direction to staff members and inspire them. You ensure that services are implemented safely, effectively, and according to established standards. Your excellent interpersonal & communication skills are instruments for your success as you interact with clients, their families, your staff, other social service agencies, and governing bodies.

You understand the importance of rules and maintain compliance with Federal & State regulations. Practice makes perfect, and you regularly participate in professional development activities to keep current with issues and trends affecting the populations that we serve. Your style of performance fosters teamwork, respect, cooperation, accountability, and trust.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGIONAL DIRECTOR / SOCIAL SERVICES

• Reliable vehicle to attend appointments
• Clean background and decent driving record
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (writing, typing, and speaking)
• Leadership skills
• Ability to maintain and train on electronic recordkeeping (Therap) including EVV requirements
• A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities

Preference will be given to candidates who have a degree in a social services field OR 5 years of experience working in the developmental disability field. ACRE certifications and two years of experience working in a supervisory role with adults in a social services setting is also preferred.
