A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GROUP HOME TEAM LEAD

As a Team Lead, you assist a Regional Director with managing a small group home. Your role is to coordinate and delegate tasks for your team helping those served meeting their goals and accessing the community.

You ensure that services are implemented safely, effectively, and according to established standards. Your excellent interpersonal & communication skills are instruments for your success as you interact with clients, their families and staff.

Working weekends is a reality working in group home settings' however, you would be in-charge of scheduling yourself and other home staff for swing, graveyard and weekend shifts. The residents generally attend a day hub or school during the week.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TEAM LEAD

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (writing, typing, and speaking)
• Leadership skills
• Ability to pass periodic drug testing
• Clean criminal record (no history of abuse, exploitation, or other related offenses on the Medicaid Exclusion list or any felony in the last 10 years)
• Ability to attain a negative TB test, a CPR/first aid card, and a local food handlers permit
• Smart phone for timekeeping and light documentation
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
• A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities

Preference will be given to candidates, one to two years of experience working a social services.

Family-owned since 1987, we operate social and community access hubs in Salt Lake & Tooele Counties along with integrated employment supports and in-home care for adults with developmental disabilities. Our day program hubs serve as community gathering hubs for participants to socialize, learn life skills, and access the greater community with their peers. Our participants (along with staff) enjoy going to community assets such as parks, the zoo, the aquarium, the movies, volunteering, and bowling--as well as taking semi-annual field trips to destinations such as Wendover and Boondocks.
