We currently have an opening for graveyard sleep shifts in Tooele. You are paid $58.00 for the 8 hour sleep portion generally 11p to 7a, and a regular rate of pay starting at $11.50/hr for the morning hours getting the household members ready for the day. Many of our staff work 4x10 hour shifts.

A DAY IN THE LIFT OF THE SLEEPING GRAVE SHIFT:

The Overnight Sleep Staff is available during overnight shifts to support individuals in a residential setting to ensure their safety and well-being during their sleep hours. The staff is permitted to sleep in designated area while residents are sleeping but must be able to be awakened. If any unforeseen issue arises, the staff is responsible to act and must be ready to perform duties of work as assigned to their direct care position.

The sleep shift period generally runs from 11 pm until 7 am. During the sleep portion of the shift, there may be times that the individual(s) residing in the home will need assistance with personal care, emergency medical care or other urgent needs. The shift may continue in the morning generally beginning at 7 am until 9 am. During this time of the shift, the job requires providing personal care, assistance with meal planning and preparation, cleaning tasks and helping the people who live in the home to have a great start to their day.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAM MANAGER

Clean background and decent driving record
Ability to communicate effectively in English (writing, typing, and speaking)
Reliable transportation and good driving record
Ability to maintain and train on electronic record-keeping (Therap)
A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities

Family-owned since 1987, we operate social and community access hubs in Salt Lake & Tooele Counties along with integrated employment supports and in-home care for adults with developmental disabilities. Our day program serves as a community gathering hub for participants to socialize, learn life skills, and access the greater community with their peers. Our participants (along with staff) enjoy going to community assets such as parks, the zoo, the aquarium, the movies, volunteering, and bowling--as well as taking semi-annual field trips to destinations such as Wendover and Boondocks.

Preference will be given to candidates, one years of experience working in a supervisory role with adults in a social services setting is also preferred.

Full-Time Shifts (30h/week+) are eligible for benefits after a 60 day wait period which includes low cost/ACA Compliant health health, vision, dental and short term disability insurance, time off and holidays.

(Full Time Schedules are generally 5x8 hours per week - 35-40h per week, Part Time Schedules are generally 3x8 or 5x4 hours per week - 24-25h per week, ongoing schedules between 25 and 35 hours per week are only approved on a limited basis)

The salary range listed is what is available for this position; new appointments are generally started at the lower end of the range depending on education and experience.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Due to the nature of the people we serve, Federal and State laws require a criminal background review. Applicants with a history of abuse, exploitation and other related offenses, on the Medicaid Exclusion list or any felony in the last 10 years will be denied employment or terminated if discovered wile currently employed. The Department of Human Services has an appeal and review process for applicants and employees adversely affected.
